A new hotel has opened in the Portuguese city of Famalicão, following a €1m investment on Barão da Trovisqueira Street. The 10-room hotel project was a first for its investors — Catarina Silva, Tiago Pimenta and Sílvia Pimenta — who had no previous experience in the hospitality sector. The hotel also offers a restaurant and a wine bar that are open to the public.
“The concept is unique in Famalicão and its main target is the local business, providing it meeting points for stays, meetings and informal gatherings,” said the president of the Chamber of Famalicão, Paulo Cunha. Famalicão’s growing industrial exports make it a promising location for such investments, he said.
