The Hungarian government published final conditions related to home purchase subsidies for young families. The subsidies are available to spouses or couples in civil partnerships with children. Couples that commit to having a baby can also be subsidized if one spouse is under the age of 40 when the application is submitted. The subsidies may be used for the purchase of homes that were completed on or after July 1, 2008. Couples that are awarded subsidies must live in the homes they purchase for 10 years.
