Bulgarian apartment completions fall in Q4 2015

In Bulgaria, 2180 apartments were built in 661 residential buildings in the fourth quarter of 2015. Compared to the same period of 2014, it was 59 buildings fewer than in 2014, while the number of completed apartments dropped 5 percent (115 fewer).

The preliminary data from the Bulgarian National Statistical Institute shows that most of the buildings were constructed in Varna (374 flats in 92 buildings), Burgas, (440 flats in 71 buildings) and Plovdiv, (294 flats in 67 buildings). Around 38.5 percent of the flats have two rooms while 33.1 percent have three rooms. Just 4.2 percent have six more more rooms. The average area per apartment increased to 95.3 sqm in Q4 2015 from 88.2 sqm in the fourth quarter of 2014.
