Romania’s trade deficit went down last by 38 percent in 2015 to €8.36bn after the total volume of exports came to €54.59bn while imports hit €62.96bn. The National Statistics Institute reports that December exports fell 17 percent, while imports decreased by just 7.5 percent.
The value of Romania’s trade with EU-member companies came to €40.24bn worth of exports and €48.58bn in imports. This works out to roughly three-quarters of all trade being carried out with EU partners.
