Goodman plans to start speculative construction of a new warehouse in Senec. The new facility will add 12,680 sqm of industrial and office space to the Goodman Senec Logistic Centre that should eventually expand to 100,000 sqm. The decision to build stems from extremely low vacancy, which is in the range of 5 percent in Slovakia. Jan Palek, Goodman’s country manager in Slovakia, says the developer has signed six lease contracts for 33,000 sqm of space over the last 12 months. Metzeler Slovakia is the latest addition to the tenant list. Prologis, Karimpol and VGP are other industrial developers active in Senec.
