The logistics company DB Schenker plans to triple the space it operates in the industrial zone Maritza, in Plovdiv. At the end of last year, DB Schenker leased an additional 2,000 sqm plot in the industrial park. The project is being carried out together with Maritza Logistics, the developer of the Maritza industrial zone. Completion is set for the middle of 2016.
Maritza Logistics specializes in the construction and leasing of industrial property. The company was founded in 2007 to develop and maintain Maritza, the first logistics park near Plovdiv, Bulgaria’s second largest city. Other tenants in the zone, established in the late 1990’s, include Fererro, Liebherr, Schneider Electric, DB Schenker, Linde, Socotab. Currently there are over 30 sheds on the site.
