The average apartment price in Sofia rose in the last quarter of 2015 to €815 per sqm, the highest price recorded since 2011. Apartments in Sofia were selling for €794 per sqm on average in the third quarter, according to the real estate firm Bulgarian Properties.
The average cost of apartments sold in Sofia in the October-December period of last year was €75,280. Polina Stoykova MRICS, Managing Director & Head of Research at Bulgarian Properties, said that buyers returned to the market in 2014, but that 2015 saw a significant upturn in Sofia’s residential market.
