Sofia’s University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy will build a research center for the study of earthquakes. Existing buildings at the university will be reconstructed in order to house the Contemporary Research on Earthquake Engineering Center.
University intends to apply for financing under the EU Program “Regions in Growth 2014-2020”. The technical design of the new research center will be prepared by Dimi Project following a public tender for the assignment. The University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy is the oldest technical university of its kind in Bulgaria.
