Karimpol to break ground on Skyliner this year

20 January 2016

With an investment valued at €100m, Karimpol is planning to start construction on its biggest-ever CEE office scheme later this year. Called Skyliner, the 195-meter tall office building will add 43,600 sqm of leasable space to Warsaw’s Wola district, near Rondo Daszyńskiego. Karimpol has all permits in place. Having already launched underground work at the project site, Karimpol is in the process of selecting a general contractor for the next phase. The company expects to welcome tenants by 2019.

Skyliner will neighbor Ghelamco’s most recent 60,000 sqm project as well as a 150,000 sqm residential scheme by Pro Urba. Although no tenants have been signed at this stage, Karimpol is in talks with its partners to provide external financing for the project. “With a project of this size, we’re considering a consortium of banks to back up the investment,” says Harald Jeschek, managing partner of Karimpol.

“We’re a part of the process of creating a new business district here in Wola. With a number of office building going up in the area, and its proximity to the city center of Warsaw, the location is to become the next office destination for corporations, including newcomers,” Jeschek added.
