Sika opens mortar production facility in Greece

14 January 2016

Sika is opening a new facility for mortar production in Kryoneri, near Athens. Sika has an existing concrete admixture plant in Thessaloniki, northern Greece. This new plant will increase Sika’s capacity in the Greek market by broadening its product portfolio and opening up new market segments.

In addition to the mortar production unit, which has a capacity of 20,000 tons per year, the facility will house a modern laboratory, as well as a new concrete admixtures logistics hub for southern Greece.

Paul Schuler, Sika’s Regional Manager for EMEA said that “Despite the challenging economic environment in Greece, we are confident about the country’s long-term potential. Sika has a longstanding commitment to its local operations.”
