A new wellness center for thermal waters-based recreation and entertainment called Therme Bucharest opens its doors today. According to Therme representatives, the center is the largest of its kind in Europe to have been built from scratch. The €50m investment has resulted in a 30,000 sqm center that will be open all-year round and can accommodate over 4,000 guests simultaneously.
The Austrian company A-Heat financed the investment, and the center is operated by the group Wund. The concept was first developed in Germany by Wund group, which owns four thermal centers in Europe. Bucharest Therme is located 15 km from the capital, in the town Baloteşti.
