Bulgarian exports to EU up 9% thru October 2015

Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 9 percent, to €12.4bn, in the first 10 months of 2015, compared to the same period of last year, according to the National Statistical Institute.

Nearly 70 percent of all exports to EU member states went to Italy, Romania, Greece, France and Belgium. In October, Bulgarian exports to the EU amounted to nearly €1.38bn, which represented an increase of 7.5 percent compared to the same month in 2014.

Bulgaria exports mostly chemicals to the EU along with mineral fuels, petroleum and similar products. Exports of beverages and tobacco registered a decrease in the first 10 months of last year.
