Toy retailer Jumbo, which operates stores in Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania, reported a 9-percent increase in sales in the second half of 2015. Group sales revenue for the period amounted to €371.75m, up from €341.13m for the same period last year.
The company said sales on the Romanian market doubled between July and December, while growth in Bulgaria and Cyprus was in line with market expectations. Sales in Greece, meanwhile, increased by 3 percent. “These annual growth rates exceeded the original targets set for the period of 0 and 4 percent,” the Greek company said in a statement.
Jumbo operates six stores in Romania, including locations in Bucharest, Timisoara, Arad, Oradea and Ploiesti.
