Residential construction boosting Spain’s construction sector

7 January 2016

According to a new report from BBVA, there will be a boost in Spanish housing construction in 2016. The company predicts that the 13.2 percent fall in new build construction permits in October was a one-off and that demand for housing continues to grow thanks to improvements in the economy. The company points out that the expectations of construction company managers for the future are seeing significant improvement as their order books fill up. Finally, writes BBVA, land transaction data for the third quarter of 2015 showed a 72.3 percent increase in terms of the amount of land sold compared to 2014.
