Florida construction unemployment improves 1.9%

A new report from Associated Builders & Contractors states that Florida was one of 37 states to see its November construction unemployment rate improve compared to the same time last year. The state had the 20th-best unemployment rate for the construction industry (5.7 percent) in November, down 1.9 percent from a year ago. The last time Florida’s construction unemployment rate was lower than 5.7 percent was in November 2007 when it was 5.5 percent. The top six states with the best construction unemployment rates for the month were New Hampshire, Colorado, Georgia, Virginia, Idaho and Maryland.
