CPI has taken over operations of the Marriott Executive Apartments in Prague and the Starlight Suiten Hotel in Budapest. With 28 hotels in its portfolio, CPI Hotels now claims to be the strongest player on the Czech hotel market with 8,000 hotel rooms. The company’s operational profit jumped 11 percent y-o-y in 2015. Jan Kratina, director of CPI Hotels, told Hospodářské noviny that its Prague acquisition has been rebranded as Mamaison Residence Downtown Prague, and that the rebranding of Starlight will follow. Both hotels will be included in the Mamaison chain of extended stay hotels that CPI took over in 2014 from Orco. CPI continues to look for acquisitions in regional cities such as Brno and Pilsen.
