Miami-based Lennar has snapped up 36 acres of land from BBX Capital Corp.’s master planned community Bonterra in Hialeah. The $24.16 million purchase of a plot located west of I-75 and north of Northwest 146th Street, traded for slightly more than $671,110 per acre. Lennar plans to build 463 houses on the site, along with town homes and villas.
BBX still controls 92 acres of the 128-acre development site. Including Lennar’s plans, Bonterra will have 1,171 houses and apartments when completed. The massive community will also feature a handful of parks along with a 15 acre lake.
