It’s emerged that over the summer, more than 60,000 Greek companies have relocated to Bulgaria, according to the Greek retail association ESEE. It reported that Greek companies are applying for Bulgarian tax numbers and moving all or parts of their operations there. These companies mainly operate in the sectors of tourism, commerce, real estate and financial services.
Greece ranks as the third largest investor in Bulgaria with €3.6 bn in investments. These movements have created almost 40,000 jobs for Bulgarians.
