Czech state to finance top scientific centers

23 December 2015

The Czech Republic’s leading science and research centers, which have been developed to a large degree on EU subsidies until now, will be 90 percent financed from the state budget in the Czech Republic beginning in 2016. The Czech government approved the plan this week with the aim of supporting international scientific teams operating in the Czech Republic. The largest centers, such as CEITEC, ELI and SUSEN, will have 90 percent of their costs covered by the state, while less important centers will receive just 60 percent.
