FairPlay International plans office building in central Sofia

23 December 2015

The developer FairPlay International is planning the development of a 10-storey office tower in the middle of Sofia. It bought the land in a tender for €5.8m over the summer, after attempts to sell the former Czech embassy building that currently stands on it failed. The Czechs moved out in 2013, leaving the building empty.

The plan of the investor is to raze the existing building and replace it with a modern office building. Planning permits are currently being sought by FairPlay, which claims it can begin construction once that process is completed.

“We think that despite the proximity to the Zaimov park, the area is more business oriented. Moreover, in the center there are not many new modern office buildings,” said Mario Zahariev, founder and member of the Board of Directors of FairPlay International.
