The MacFarlane Group has secured a $38 million construction loan from N.Y.-based Acres Capital allowing it to build the Campo Felice senior housing project in downtown Fort Myers. The plans call for the redevelopment of the former Amtel hotel on Edwards Drive into 323 independent-living apartments. The new scheme overlooks the Fort Myers yacht basin on the Caloosahatchee River and is slated for completion in early 2017.
“We are pleased to be working with Acres Capital again. Their professionals are a natural fit for our organization’s vision, values and goals,” wrote Rebekah MacFarlane Barney, director of operations for The MacFarlane Group. The MacFarlane Group has built three residential towers in downtown Fort Myers.
