The Catalan Land Institute has awarded Amazon a plot of land in the Mas Blau II industrial estate in Barcelona. The US e-commerce giant has not yet provided further details on the agreement, but market sources believe the size of the plot suggests that Amazon is planning to construct one of its largest logistics center. The new facility would be the 29th that Amazon operates across seven countries in Europe. At the moment, Amazon is building a new 45,000 sqm center near an existing 32,000 sqm facility in Madrid.
