Lames Group opened a new car parts factory in Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia. Construction on the €6.5m factory, covering 7,500 sqm, started in July 2014. “The Serbian government provided €900,000 for this plant. If you want to create more jobs, we are willing to help, as that is in our national interest,” said Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, who toured the new facility with Lames Group CEO Stefano Monetini and Italian Ambassador Giuseppe Manzo on Friday.
Italy’s Lames Group specializes in window lifters and door systems for cars.
