The number of construction permits for residential buildings on the Romanian market increased by 3.9 percent in the first 10 months of the year, according to a report released by the National Statistics Institute (INS).
There were 33,547 construction permits issued for residential buildings during this period. The highest increases were reported in the South-East, North-East and South-Muntenia regions of the country. The Bucharest-Ilfov region, meanwhile, reported a decrease in building permits over the first 10 months of the year, compared to the same period in 2014.
In October, 3,007 permits were issued for residential buildings, of which 62 percent were issued for rural areas.
