An affiliate of Los Angeles-based Canyon Capital Advisors has acquired an apartment complex in Pompano Beach for $34.16 million. The 403 unit apartment complex is located at multiple addresses on 34th Street, 3rd Ave., and 5th Terrace. Built in 1973 on a 16.8-acre site, the community traded for just under $84,765 per unit. The seller, Sample Apts LLC, managed by Benjamin J. Genet in Tamarac, bought the property in 2008 for $10.5 million.
