A joint venture between Piedmont Office Realty Trust and Providence One Partners has broken ground on a new Class A office space, 500 TownPark, in Lake Mary, FL. The new 135,000 square-foot building will be built in the Colonial TownPark mixed-use development at 500 Colonial Center Parkway. Sitting on a little more than five acres, the complex will also include a 600-space parking garage. Baker Barrios Architects was selected as the project architect, and Brasfield & Gorrie is handling the general contractor duties.
The building has already secured a tenant: insurance firm Continental Casualty Co (CAN). The firm has signed a 13-year lease for 108,000 square feet of space. Real estate firm Avison Young is handling the leasing of 500 TownPark. Construction is slated for completion in early 2017, with a grand opening anticipated for February.
