13 November 2015

The city of Kraków has reached an agreement with an investor of the Treimorf office building, nicknamed “Skeletor”, to relaunch the project. The tallest building in Kraków, work on the Skeletor office block started in 1975. The building’s steel frame was erected before construction was abruptly halted in 1981. Designed for the Polish Federation of Engineering Associations, it is now used as a giant frame for billboards. Under the new agreement, the investor will pay off PLN 2.7m in liabilities in exchange for a green light from city officials to restart construction. Work is set to begin next year, with completion date set for 2017. The scheme will offer a total of 102,500 sqm of commercial space on 27 stories. The investor is already in the process of selecting a general contractor and has until 2019 to complete the project.
