MOL inaugurates butadiene plant in Hungary

Hungarian oil and gas company MOL inaugurated a new €111.7m butadiene plant in Tiszaujvaros. The company also laid the cornerstone for the new synthetic rubber plant it is building in partnership with Japan Synthetic Rubber Corporation at the site. The new investment is scheduled to be completed in 2018 and is expected to help rebuild Hungary’s chemical industry.
