Blue Development Group has hired Miami-based technology firm Crystal Lagoons US Corp. to build a 5-acre lagoon for a new residential community it is developing in Kissimmee. The new will be a part of an existing property the company bought at 9130 Calypso Court in Kissimmee that has an existing 160 units. The plan calls for a total of 394 units with the lagoon as the center of the community, which will feature public beaches, a pedestrian promenade, a beach house, a light house, a marina and possibly a hotel component. Construction of the new community and the lagoon is expected to start in 2016.
