Polish air carrier LOT will begin flying between Košice in Slovakia and Warsaw in March. The flight will leave Košice in the early morning and return in the late evening, allowing business passengers to catch connecting flights to and from Western Europe. Ticket prices will start at €177. LOT will compete with Czech Airlines, which operates early-morning flights between Košice and Western European cities via Prague, as well as Austrian Airlines, which offers connections via Vienna. Both air carriers also offer return flights to Košice late in the evening.
