Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó has opened a Hungarian investment and trading center in Milan. The center was created to improve Hungary’s exports to the Lombardy region and to encourage companies there to invest in Hungary. The Lombardy region is one of Hungary’s most important trade partners, accounting for 22 percent of the country’s GDP. The Hungarian-Italian bilateral trade volume increased 7.3 percent in the first half of 2015.
