Signa, the Vienna-based property developer and investor controlled by René Benko, is investing €400m to develop 150 kindergartens across Germany. The company’s new subsidiary, Signa Kidinvest Development, is overseeing the development process. The kindergartens will be built in Münster, Cologne, Bonn and Düsseldorf and leased to non-profit groups. The first 13 kindergarten centers have been completed or are under construction. Signa is in talks to purchase an additional 30 plots.
