There are around 1.6 million unsold homes on the Spanish market, according to RR de Acuna Asociados. The company estimates there are 502,000 new homes (261,000 fewer than in 2011) still on the market and 1.15 million old homes, 189,000 more than four years ago. RR de Acuna Asociados expects the market will not fully recover until the homes built during the boom years have been sold.
