AB at Hidden Lakes Ltd. has filed an application with Miami-Dade County to build an independent living facility for seniors in West Kendall. The center would be build on a 3.45-acre site on the west side of Southwest 127th Avenue just south of Southwest 128th Street. The plans call for 94 independent living units made up of eight studio units, 78 one-bedroom units and six two-bedroom units. Modis has been selected as the architect for the project. Southern Florida is now awash in new projects to serve burgeoning demand from seniors for a variety of living arrangements, from independent living to those providing round-the-clock assisted living facilities.
