Central Group has sold 750 flats since the beginning of 2015. Dušan Kunovský, the head of Central Group, hopes to sell 1,000 units for the whole year. The developer currently has 1,975 units underway, having started work this year on seven new projects or phases totaling 800 flats. The overall results of the residential market are the highest they’ve been in the last six years, according to the Czech Statistical Office. Developers started construction on a total of 3,544 flats in the Czech Republic in the first half of 2015, with 2,614 going up in Prague alone. The total number of flats under construction is expected to reach 7,000 in the Czech Republic this year.
