Central Florida mortgage delinquencies keep dropping

A new report from CoreLogic states that the foreclosure rate on outstanding mortgage loans in the metro Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford area fell has declined to 2.44 percent in July, down 2.14 percent compared to the same month last year. The mortgage delinquency rate in Central Florida also dropped to 5.76 percent, compared to 8.92 percent in July 2014. Despite the improvement, the region’s foreclosure activity was still far higher than the national average of 1.26 percent for July. Florida’s foreclosure rate in July was 2.71 percent, down 2.08 percentage points from July 2014.
