In a deal worth €160m, Skanska has offloaded a portfolio of four office buildings in Poland to the Swedish fund manager Niam. The deal involves Kapelanka 42 A, the Axis project, both in Kraków, as well as Buildings A and B in the Silesia Business Park in Katowice. The portfolio totals 63,000 sqm of leasable space. The transaction, which is set to close in the fourth quarter of 2016, marks the biggest office deal on the Polish market this year and the biggest for Skanska’s CEE operations.
Completed in the fourth quarter of 2014, Kapelanka 42 A added 18,000 sqm of space to Kraków’s office market. Axis will add 21,000 sqm of space to the city when it is completed in the fourth quarter of 2016. Silesia Business Park’s B Building is set for completion by the end of the year.
