Krka opened a new production plant in Krsko, eastern Slovenia. Worth €85m, the Sinteza 1 plant will manufacture active pharmaceutical ingredients. The Slovenian pharmaceutical group is planning to invest €165m in the plant this year after investing €174m in 2014.
Krka’s consolidated net profit increased by 5 percent to €112.3m in the first half of 2015, while consolidated sales remained flat at €600m.
