Apollo 1 might collapse

2 October 2015

The Apollo 1 business center on Prievozska street in Bratislava may collapse because of defective statics, writes trend.sk. Citibank and Accenture have already moved out of the building. Inspectors report that 10 to 50 percent of the center’s structures is overburdened. The local construction office in Ružinov has asked the owner, Hannover Leasing, to prepare documentation to secure a construction permit so the project can be renovated. The developer, HB Reavis, hired JĆ”n TomÄĆ”ni as a static expert for the project. TomÄĆ”ni was responsible for the statics of a few buildings in Bratislava, which reported problems later on, including Apollo BC2, developed by HB Reavis, and 3nity, which collapsed during construction in 2012.
