Hainan Airlines has begun running direct flights between Prague and Beijing. The airline is expected to boost the number of Chinese tourists and business travelers arriving in the Czech Republic and to bring down ticket prices. Hainan Airlines is selling return tickets for as little as CZK 10,000 for flights that will run three times per week. Hainan is using Boeing 767’s for the route but will switch in late October to Airbus aircraft. Aktualne.cz writes that in 2006, the Czech Republic attracted just 30,000 Chinese visitors, but that the figure ballooned to 210,000 in 2014. In the first half of 2015 the number of Chinese visitors was up by 40 percent y-o-y.
