Indoor ski complex planned for Prague

18 September 2015

Prague could become the next city to get an indoor ski complex. Miloslav Kebrle, the former director of the Špindlerův Mlýn ski resort, wants to build an indoor ski complex similar to ones in Germany, Lithuania and Dubai. Kebrle and his partners are currently looking for investors. The idea emerged following a series of mild winters with light snowfall. The ski complex would go up outside Prague near the D1 motorway and would be operational from September to June. The project is expected to cost between CZK 500m to CZK 600m. Kebrle estimates that the complex would need to attract 400 to 500 skiers a day to be profitable. He told idnes.cz that the scheme would include a hotel, restaurant and other services.
