Residential construction has been on the rise in Slovakia since spring. The number of flats in projects currently under construction jumped 40 percent y-o-y to 5,845, according to data released by the Statistical Office SR. The number of construction permits issued increased by 20 percent in the first quarter, totaling 10,000 for H1. More than 6,660 flats were completed in the first six months of the year, a y-o-y increase of 3 percent.
