Slovnaft Arena in Bratislava will be renamed at the end of September after the sponsorship contract between the Slovnaft refinery and the ice hockey team HC Slovan Bratislava expires. The stadium was originally named after the famous Slovak figure skater Stadion Ondreja Nepelu and will once again go by this name until a new sponsor is secured. Slovnaft replaced Samsung in 2011. The stadium previously went by T-Com Arena, ST Arena and Orange Arena. The club’s board chairman, Maroš Krajči, believes a new partnership deal will be sealed during the current hockey season.
