Hungarian trade surplus hits €674m in July

Hungary’s trade surplus was up €235.9m y-o-y in July, according to the Central Statistics Office (KSH). Exports climbed 5.4 percent to €7.737bn during the period, while imports rose 2.3 percent to €7.063bn. Between January and July, the country’s trade surplus hit €4.880bn, up €1.217bn from the same period last year. Exports rose 7.6 percent to €52.874bn, while imports increased by 5.5 percent to €47.994bn, according to KSH.
