Bank of China opening at Prague’s Florentinum

31 August 2015

Taking 600 sqm, Bank of China plans to establish its Prague headquarters at the Florentinum office complex, developed by Penta. China’s largest state-owned bank will also open a branch at the location. Czech President Miloš Zeman has invited the bank’s management to Prague Castle for the occasion. Zeman sealed the deal with the bank last year during his visit of China, arguing that Chinese investors need financial support from their national bank. Bank of China could be followed by China Construction Bank, which is reportedly also considering entering the Czech market.
