The state-owned airline company Przedsiębiorstwo Państwowe Porty Lotnicze (PPL) is planning to take over Modlin Airport, near Warsaw, from Poland’s Military Property Agency (AMW) and the Mazovia region. PPL wants to expand its 30.39-percent stake in Modlin in an effort to provide the capital consolidation required in the development process of a new duoport, according to the daily Puls Biznesu. These solutions have already been implemented in Rome, Milan, Paris, Brussels and Berlin. Once completed, the investment would replace the Lotnisko Centralne project, planned for Modiin a few years ago.
