Medusa Group is planning to open a music club called Barrock in mid-September on Wenceslas Square in the Prague city center. The three-story club, which will include a restaurant and bar, is the Slovak group’s third location on the Czech market. Peter Štecko of Medusa Group told idnes.cz that the company is to expand quickly and hopes to open more than ten similar venues in the near-term. The company has already signed four contracts for new locations in the Czech Republic that it hopes to open next year, according to Štecko. Barrock will target the upper-middle-class segment and tourists in Prague. In addition to Barrocks, Medusa Group operates a beer-cellar chain called Klubovňa in Slovakia and the high-end Primi network in Vienna.
