Eurostat: Romania sees 3.5% growth in construction projects in June

Romania reported a 3.5-percent growth m-o-m in the number of construction projects in June, the highest jump in the EU, according to Eurostat. The number of construction projects in the EU, meanwhile, fell by 1.1 percent in June, while the number of projects fell by 1.9 percent in the eurozone.

The new research found that the number of EU construction projects fell 0.4 percent y-o-y in June and by 2.3 percent y-o-y in the eurozone. By contrast, Romania reported the biggest y-o-y increase in construction projects, reporting a jump of 13.1 percent. The country trails the Netherlands (15.8 percent) and Slovakia (24.1 percent).
