Danubius Hotels profit falls 35% in Q2

Danubius Hotels’ net profit fell by 35 percent y-o-y in the second quarter to HUF 1.18bn, according to the Hungarian news agency MTI. Revenue rose 1 percent to HUF 14.76bn, but the cost of materials and services outpaced the increase, climbing 3 percent to HUF 5.84bn. Danubius, the largest hotel group in Hungary, said revenue in Hungary grew by 7 percent to HUF 8.81bn. The sector’s operating income increased to HUF 1.45bn from HUF 980m.
