JLL Slovakia: 6 industrial transactions could close by year’s end

A 10,000 sqm lease in Goodman’s Senec Logistic Center to e-retailer Alza was the largest deal on the Slovak warehouse market in the second quarter of 2015, according to JLL. This was followed by Tesco which took 7,000 sqm in the Petrovany logistics park. Transaction volume totaled 53,000 sqm in the period, while 120,000 sqm of warehouse is currently under construction across the country. Slovakia’s current stock of modern industrial space totals 1.3 million sqm. Vacancy is at a historic low of 3.62 percent, according to JLL, which predicts that up to six logistics transactions of portfolios and individual sheds could be completed by the end of 2015.
